Nakertrans Opens Registration for Laid Off and Suspended Employees

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Agency opens registration for employees who were laid off or suspended without pay (unpaid leave) because of COVID-19 pandemic.

Registration can be done through bit.ly/pendataanpekerjaterdampakcovid19, or download its form at bit.ly/formulirkartupekerja, fill the form, and send it via email to disnakertrans@jakarta.go.id.

Nakertrans and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah conveyed that until April 3rd at 10:30 AM , there are 4,235 companies and 25,408 employees (including laborers) who have submitted report. In detail, there are 21,797 suspended employees from 3,633 companies and 3,611 laid off employees from 602 companies.

"We are still opening the registration until midnight today or April 4th, 2020," he stated, Saturday (4/4).

He explained, those data will be collected by Nakertans and Energy Agency for report that will be submitted to central government through Coordinating Ministry for Econmic Affairs.

Government will form policies for Pre-employment Card Program's acceleration and expansion by providing job trainings and incentives for those who were laid off and unpaid leave.

"We want affected employees to fill out the forms and ensure its validity in order to get the assistance," he asserted.

His side keeps spreading this information through Whatsapp blast to workers' unions and federations, APINDO, KADIN, Wage Council, and other association leaders.

"Jakarta has quota as many as 1,646,541 applicants. So far, only 26,000 employees who have been registered. What if register after April 4? Well, you can try to input the data and whether it is accepted or not, it depends on the ministry authority that sets the deadline," he closed.
